This project involves the development of up to 12.5kms of off road walking & cycling trails within the Estate. The trail system will use existing farm tracks linked with sections of new build singletrack and sections of boardwalk. Once complete the trails will be leased by Dungannon & Sth Tyrone Council who will be responsible for ongoing management and maintenance of the trails. The Estate already offers self catering accommodation and conference facilities. This project will help to develop Blessingbourne as a hub for Outdoor Recreation in NI. Difficulties in securing match funding have substantially delayed this project, although it is hoped that final match funding will be in place by October 2010.
