Magheramorne Quarry, Larne

This project involves the rejuvenation of the Quarry and Works Site into a major outdoor adventure centre including a world class BIke Park. Key to this project is the completion of a Feasibility Study to identify and cost elements of the project and identify the most appropriate management options for the site in the future. Thanks to funding from NITB and Lafarge Cement UK, this was completed in July 2010.

Other InformationPlanning Permission for the site was granted by Sammy Wilson (then Minster for the Environment) in June 2009.

A Feasibility Study highlighting the potential to develop site as one of Northern Irelands top 10 visitor attractions with a range of mountain biking trails and complimentary adrenaline activities, has now been completed.

CAAN will continue to work with Lafarge Cement UK to identify potential funding sources to deliver this visionary project.
